A blog following my exploits in 40K. I am currently working on building and painting a new army, but the blog will also feature battle reports as I go along.

Chapter Emblem
Here is what I plan to use as my Chapter emblem. Not sure if this already belongs to another Chapter, but I think it is very fitting for mine.
I am become death, the destroyer of worlds...
I have long been in possession of a bike army, and I had initially intended to paint it in my traditional Salamanders colors. I never could get past the fact that this didn't make much sense to me fluff-wise.
To fix that issue and get the army painted, I have decided to flesh out my own chapter. My bike army will be a vanguard force for the Destroyers Chapter of Space Marines. This White Scars successor gives me a great opportunity to mix an established name with my own ideas, since almost no fluff exists for the Destroyers.
On top of all that, Destroyers is just a killer name for a Space Marine Chapter. The picture to the left is my concept for the armor. It will be bone colored with a gold Aquila and traditional company trim on the shoulders and knee. Sergeants will also wear a helmet in company colors.
Because of my love for the color orange, and the fact that my army will be deployed almost entirely on bikes, they will be part of the 6th Company. Although this is typically a reserve company composed completely of tactical squads, my Chapter will vary a little from the Codex Astartes. The 6th will be a battle company in my Chapter. Also, my 6th (as well as the 7th) will be composed entirely of assault squads, as the Chapter will tend to focus more on lightning assaults.
As the project progresses, I intend to write some background fluff as well as post pictures of my WIPs. I have already assembled a large portion of the models, and I will begin painting relatively soon. I am very much looking forward to this project, and I hope that you will follow along with me.
